Bad Lauterberg
The station at Bad Lauterberg must have been a very attractive location at one time but has clearly gone to seed by 2004, following the withdrawal of freight services around the turn of the millennium. In fact the short branch from Scharzfeld, of which it was the terminus, has since closed completely, and Bad Lauterberg is now served by a halt on the nearby Northeim to Nordhausen line. On 27th August 2004 dmu set 628 + 928 204 waits to depart on the 11:05 through working to Braunschweig.
