Bispham [Tram]

Reversing the trolley pole was once a common tramway scene but now rarely seen due to the almost universal introduction of pantographs. Heritage Open Balloon 706 is on the centre road at Bispham. In the upper picture the conductor is removing the insulated hooked pole from a cabinet in the tram body. The lower image shows the sprung trolley pulled down and walked round to the rear to be put back on the wire.
