Bournemouth Cliff Lifts

The gradient on each of the three Bournemouth cliff railways is very nearly 1:1. The most westerly of them is Fishermans Walk, serving Southbourne and Boscombe, which is younger (1935) and shorter (128') than its sisters. This image taken from the top station looks down the 45 degree slope to the promenade. The lifts generally operate from Easter to October each year.
