Bishopton

The north end of Bishopton station in April 2007, with a train leaving for Gourock. The overgrown line running off to the left accessed the former Royal Ordnance Factory. The 2,500 acre location, which employed 20,000 workers at its peak, had its own fleet of diesel locomotives operating over 20 miles of private track. Part of the huge abandoned site is currently earmarked for housing and other developments.
