Wakefield Westgate
The new down side footbridge steps are sited approximately on the throat for the line into the former bay platforms at Wakefield Westgate. The view shows the north end of the original brick platform wall and the long concrete extension to beyond the new footbridge, together with a more recent short extension beyond. The roofline and clock tower seen through the canopy are located within the walls of the maximum security HM Prison Wakefield along the other side of Love Lane from the northern end of the station.
