Elbergen
In September 1974 the Rheine - Emden line was single track over the River Ems (possibly due to wartime damage to the bridge) resulting in a significant bottleneck on a line which was very busy with freight. Here 3 cylinder 2-10-0 No. 044 569 on a southbound train of bogie hoppers approaches Elbergen, where double track resumed.
