Cartsburn Junction
Cartsburn Viaduct and Junction viewed from above in 1988. The view looks west. The line to the right was the relaid Inchgreen branch with a connection laid in to the Wemyss Bay line at Containerbase Junction. The line ahead and to the left was the route from Kilmacolm to Princes Pier closed in 1966. The track was relaid in 1971to serve the Greenock container depot but was in abeyance by 1988.
