Wrexham Exchange
A Bidston - Wrexham Central DMU arrives at the surviving platform of the former Wrexham Exchange station in March 1985. View north from Regent Street bridge, with the original 1846 Shrewsbury and Chester's Wrexham General station alongside on the right. Exchange is officially recorded as being closed to passengers in 1981, when rationalisation was carried out and this platform became the bi-directional platform 4 of Wrexham General. Note the class 47 hauled freight heading north in the background.
