New Hey
New Hey on the Oldham loop has undergone quite a transformation since my last visit in 2009. With the closure of the railway, which by then had been reduced to a single line between Shaw & Crompton and Rochdale see image 21080, the conversion to Metrolink tram has seen most of the route returning to double track. On a wet 31 July 2013, the former L&YR Cotton Warehouse stands over the tram stop as a reminder of times past.
