Oskova

83159 at Oskova sidings in March 2013, waiting to take the loaded wagons in the background to the washery. The wagons are braked for the trip from the mine but during the unloading process depend solely on the brake power of the loco for stopping - presumably it makes the frequent stopping and starting easier - and steam is preferred for this, although on occasions the diesel which brought in the wagons was seen to take them through the unloading shed.
