Annan Shawhill
The road approach to Annan Shawhill station in 1998 with the scrapyard that grew up around the old station (closed in 1931) dominating the scene. Atop the pile of scrap is Fowler 0-4-0DH 22971 of 1942, previously used by the MoD at Eastriggs see image 11561. The locomotive is now preserved on the Eden Valley Railway at Warcop.
