Castle Howard
The former station building at Castle Howard between Malton and York, seen from a passing train on 3 April 2013. Opened in 1845 to serve the large country house of the same name, it closed to passengers in 1930. The connection with the estate of the Earl of Carlisle resulted in the ornate station building.
