Blackburn
Black Fives 44871+44781 at Blackburn with the BR 'Fifteen Guinea Special' on its way back from Carlisle to Manchester and Liverpool on 11 August 1968. The special was advertised by BR as the final standard gauge main line passenger train to be hauled by a steam locomotive on British Rail (the BR main line 'steam ban' came into force the following day).
