Gannow Junction

Gannow Junction is where the Colne branch diverges from the Copy Pit line. Immediately below the junction is the western portal of Gannow Tunnel (559 yards long) on the Leeds & Liverpool Canal. The tunnel doesn't take the canal under the railway, although it does cross the line near the eastern end at Burnley Barracks station. In this view a Sprinter heading for Colne can just be seen top right.
