47517 'Andrew Carnegie' runs into Wakefield Kirkgate station from the south, after turning off the ECML at Hare Park Junction, Crofton, with a northbound 'Cumbrian Mountain Express' working in April 1991. It would then head west along the Calder Valley and over Copy Pit to Blackburn, where it handed over to A4 Union of South Africa on the steam leg over the S&C to Carlisle. Flying Scotsman hauled the return leg back to Blackburn, where 47517 took back over on the diesel leg back to Doncaster, with a Class 91 electric back to Kings X
