Broomlee

The surviving, partially refurbished goods shed at Broomlee, the station for West Linton, Peeblesshire. Photographed in December 2004 looking north east towards Leadburn. The station itself stood behind the camera on the south side of the B7059 Station Road see image 32767. Broomlee station closed to passengers as long ago as 1933, although the line north survived until 1960 after being utilised during WWII for 'military storage' purposes.
