Markham Main Colliery

37239 in the sidings at Markham Main Colliery, Armthorpe, on the eastern edge of Doncaster, in the late 1980s. The wagons are FPAs with Russell 30' containers conveying house coal bound for Scotland on one of the two daily Speedlink Coal trunk trains operating from Yorkshire at that time - for final tripping to container railheads at Gartcosh, Aberdeen and Inverness.
