Tweedmouth

In 1878 a goods line was completed linking the yard on the east side of the ECML at Tweedmouth station with the recently opened Tweed Dock. The steeply graded zig-zag route was eventually closed during the 1960s and most of the former branch is now a public walkway. The most significant surviving structure is a viaduct which now forms part of that walkway, seen here in October 2012 looking north west along Dock Road. See image 40885
