Mirfield
The closure of the Woodhead route in July 1981 resulted in the South Yorkshire to Fiddler's Ferry power station MGR coal traffic being rerouted via Mirfield and Standedge. On a glorious evening almost exactly two years after Woodhead had closed, No. 56017 passes Heaton Lodge, just west of Mirfield, with a westbound loaded train.
