Huyton
A Liverpool to Huddersfield stopping service, formed by Northern 156483, calls at Huyton. On the opposite platform the original Liverpool and Manchester Railway station building, probably dating from soon after 1832 when Huyton opened, is still in use and staffed. Just beyond the train the signal controls the junction with the St Helens Central line but this service will go straight on for Manchester.
