Burton Road
A brand new Metrolink station under construction in 2012 on the East Didsbury line that reopened the following year. Although this is a new site for a station the line itself was once the old Midland main line out of Manchester Central, which closed to all traffic in 1969. As the trackbed was protected it has been available for use on the expanding Metrolink network. View towards Chorlton (-cum-Hardy) on 17 August 2012 from what became the station entrance.
