Dalnaspidal

A Class 40 struggles up the hill past Dalnaspidal box in 1977. When local stations between Perth and Inverness were closed in 1965, it was a condition of closure that the Dalnaspidal platforms were retained in case of emergency needs when the A9 was blocked by snow. It is not known if the station was ever subsequently used in emergency, or whether the condition is still in force - but the platforms are still there! See image 26748
