Hoghton

Beginning the long descent of Hoghton bank down to Bamber Bridge is 158793 on a York to Blackpool working. This hourly Lancashire-Yorkshire service is very well used and its hard to believe that for many years the Copy Pit line that it uses was freight only and rail passengers had to make the long detour via Manchester.
