4079 Pendennis Castle standing alongside the coaling stage at Laira shed, Plymouth, in June 1961. Withdrawn by BR in 1964 the locomotive was preserved and, following a number of years in Australia, is currently (mid 2012) undergoing major overhaul at the Great Western Society, Didcot.
