Brampton

The northside entrance to Brampton station, Cumbria, looking west in May 2006. The footpath straight ahead is the trackbed of the line that ran to Brampton Town, over a mile away, which closed to passengers in 1923. Brampton station was originally opened as Milton in 1836 since when it has undergone name changes to both Brampton Junction (twice) and plain Brampton (three times).
