Ashbourne

At the southern end of the Tissington Trail in the Peak District lies this tunnel, which takes the cyclists and walkers directly into Ashbourne town centre. Regular passenger services ceased in 1954 but goods trains continued on this section until 1963 and the route can now be followed all the way to the outskirts of Buxton.
