Mytholmes Viaduct

KWVR 0-6-0ST Fred, built as RSH 7289/1945 and employed prior to preservation by the NCB at Walkden and Leigh collieries. The loco, which had been modified with a gas producer combustion system (including a very distinctive chimney) in 1963, was initially preserved on the KWVR where it is seen working uphill between Mytholmes Viaduct and Tunnel with a motley collection of coaches in March 1976. It has since migrated south and is currently based at Tyseley.
