Vouzela

A sweeping former narrow gauge line viaduct is a notable feature striding high over the Portuguese town of Vouzela. The line finally formally closed in 1990 and the bridge is now open to foot passengers with a metre gauge Henschel 2-4-6-0T Mallet, No. E202 (The E denotes narrow gauge), displayed at the end. Whilst static locos like this are not preserved in ideal circumstances E202 has fared better than sister loco E213 at Pocinho on the closed Sabor line See image 37992 and her many scrapped classmates.
