Kings Cross

View east across the platforms at Kings Cross in September 1974 with 5652 waiting to take out empty stock. Visible between the front of the locomotive and the signal box is part of the single platform of Kings Cross (York Road), with passenger access via a ramp from York Road itself (now York Way) and used by up trains bound for Moorgate via the Metropolitan widened lines. Down Moorgate trains used the Hotel Curve platform see image 4346. York Road closed in 1976 after Moorgate services were rerouted via the Northern City Line.
