Gateshead Shed
Gateshead A4 no 60001 Sir Ronald Matthews photographed at 52A in the 1960s. The locomotive spent almost the whole of its operational life based in the north east. Following withdrawal in October 1964 it was cut up at Hughes Bolckows, North Blyth, towards the end of that year.
