Grangemouth

A pair of DRS Class 66 locomotives running from the Grangemouth refinery sidings towards Fouldubs Junction on the afternoon of 20 December 2011. The locomotives are passing the site of the former Grangemouth station which closed to passengers in 1968. Reinstatement of passenger services to the town is the subject of ongoing lobbying, not least in view of the number of passenger trains currently using the branch for 'turnback' purposes each day see image 35008.
