Dinorwic Quarry

A curious rail vehicle to say the least. The Malwoden Lwyd or Grey Snail, an eight seater velocipede with hand crank power at every seat. Used for transporting Dinorwic Quarry workers along the 4' gauge Padarn Railway and now preserved at the National Slate Museum of Wales, which is in the old quarry workshops. Behind are a number of very old, double flanged trucks formerly used in various parts of the local quarry system.
