Wolverton

A class 350 EMU for Birmingham New Street pulls into Wolverton station in bright sunshine on 14 October. The blue fence to the left surrounds a site for a new station building - ironically situated on the bay platform for Newport Pagnell branch trains. This still had track until at least the mid 1980s, being used to store engineering equipment, such as generator wagons, if I recall correctly. An inspection of the train indicator shows the wisdom of catching this train - it's a 56-minute wait until the next one, then a four-minute wait. Not quite an interval service.
