Kelvin Bridge

Looking west along the River Kelvin from Great Western Road on 2 December 2011. In the middle distance is the bridge that carried the Glasgow Central Railway over the river and on which the platforms of Kelvin Bridge station once stood. To the right of the bridge the line passed below Caledonian Crescent, then ran in the open for about 100 yards, before entering the long tunnel running below Great Western Road, eventually emerging at Botanic Gardens station see image 10426.
