Alloa [1st]
The east end of the old Alloa station, seen here in 1975, approximately 7 years after closure to passengers. The Devon Valley route, closed completely in 1973 with the exception of the Co-op siding, runs off to the left and Alloa East signal box is now boarded up. On the other side of the old Waggonway Bridge stands the now demolished brewery, the site of which is today occupied by the new (2008) Alloa station and the Asda Superstore. See image 18651
