Carnforth

On a fine May evening in 1970, EE Type 4 No. 353 stands in the down WCML platform at Carnforth waiting to take participants in 'Scottish Grand Tour No. 10' back to Edinburgh. Main line trains had ceased to call at Carnforth with effect from the start of the new timetable the previous Monday and this was expected to be the last passenger working to use the platform.
