Carnforth
Two railtours, both steam hauled, stand side by side in the
loops at Carnforth on 30 July 2011. On the right is LMS pacific no 6201 Princess Elizabeth which stopped for water on the 'Cumbrian Mountain Express', on its way from Crewe to Carlisle via Stockport, Manchester and Bolton. On the left is LMS Black 5, no 44932 which has just taken over from a diesel on 'The Lakelander', running from Lincoln to Ravenglass.
