Jewellery Quarter

A place that has seen many changes over the years, Jewellry Quarter was originally just a location on a four track GWR main line (although there was a station at nearby Hockley). Later the line was downgraded and in 1972 it closed altogether, only to reopen for Snow Hill to Stourbridge trains in 1994 when this station was opened. The next phase was the opening of the Midland Metro tramway in 1999, at which time two further platforms were built See image 34474. 150015 pulls away on a London Midland service to Dorridge and heads in to the Hockley tunnels.
