Ribbleton [1st]

A train of empty 16T mineral wagons return from the Courtaulds plant at Ribbleton (Red Scar) behind Stanier 8F 2-8-0 48438. The train is passing under the ornate Cromwell Road bridge where the inscription on the bridge parapet reads 'Erected by Ribbleton Freehold Land Society 1863'.
