Stranraer
Stranraer Harbour still has a flexible layout with mechanical signalling and run round loops but for the normal timetabled service the box is switched out and the Sprinter shuttles in and out with the single line token from Dunragit. The functional train shed has greatly improved weather protection for this exposed location in recent years. See image 1056 for the same scene forty years earlier.
