Carlisle Kingmoor Shed
Any of the half a million inhabitants of the ancient Indian city of Kolhapur visiting Kingmoor shed on Sunday 27 August 1967 would likely have taken great offence at the painted nameplate being carried by 45593 at that time. The Jubilee had worked into Carlisle the previous day, bringing in the 09.20 St Pancras - Glasgow Central from Leeds see image 27938. Standing nearby, attempting to disassociate itself from the Jubilee, is Black 5 no 45437.
