Motherwell

The environs of Motherwell on the 1957 OS One Inch map.  There is still heavy industry about, and stations at Flemington and Wishaw South on the main line south of Motherwell and at Mossend to the north of the multiple junction (which mostly survives).  Shieldmuir and Airbles stations are some way in the future however; Airbles doesn't even get a namecheck.  The unnamed halt is Carfin - still there today.  Crown copyright 1957.
