Aylesbury

The 11-coach RCTS Great Central Rail Tour pauses for a photostop at Aylesbury on its way north on 13 August 1966. The railtour was run to mark the end of through passenger services over much of the GC London Extension the following month. The special had started from Waterloo, arriving at Aylesbury via Kew East, Acton Wells and Neasden South Junctions behind West Country Pacific no 34002 Salisbury. The locomotive took the special on to Nottingham Victoria over the GC.
