Newbattle Viaduct

The 23-arch Newbattle Viaduct, looking north in March 2011. Destinations on the sign once applied to both road and rail routes. The structure must hold a record for the number of names by which it has become known over the 164 years since it was built. Apart from Newbattle, the names Newtongrange, Lothianbridge, South Esk and Dalhousie Viaduct are amongst those commonly attributed. See image 33034.
