Kinross Junction [2nd]

This extract from the OS One Inch map of 1957 shows two lines long gone. The Perth direct line skirts Loch Leven which was the name of the already closed station by the pier. The building is still there. On the Devon Valley Line there's Balado, a name now associated with the annual rock festival T in the Park (or T in the Rain). Next was Crook of Devon, situated, as one would hope, by a crook in the River Devon. At the extreme left is Rumbling Bridge, station for Yetts o' Muckhart. Fans of early 1990s cult TV comedy won't need to be told who their rivals were. Crown copyright 1957.
