Normanton
The 185 1/4 mile post, indicating distance from St. Pancras along the former Midland mainline route via Royston, is now located a significant distance from the current operational running line on the up side, being sited by a former siding end wall at the rear of the area now comprising the west end of Normanton station car park. The station access road can be seen beyond.
