Salford Central
Photograph relating to mystery image 5135 (see comments) taken on 19 February from a 156 DMU (with non-opening and less than clean windows!) This shows the view today just west of Salford Central on the line to Ordsall Junction passing the bridge I believe is depicted in 5135. While the section in the right foreground is the original, that on the left became part of a new bridge when the road below was widened a few years ago. Following the viaduct round there are two more bridges which are discernible in Query 5135 and before them is an arch with a wider span which now has a large billboard in front of it. See image 5135
