Blackpool North
The entrance to Blackpool Train Maintenance Depot (TOPS Depot Code BP) is not particularly imposing. It is in the middle of a residential area of Blackpool and the depot accommodation comprises the two low roof buildings seen here at the top of the ramp. The depot rarely sees stock during the daytime but a number of DMUs are serviced here overnight and the overhead lighting of the carriage sidings can be seen behind the buildings. The sidings themselves are directly alongside the main running lines just outside Blackpool North station See image 32554.
