Sighthill East Junction [2nd]
Having called at Springburn station (in the background) 158 871 takes the Cumbernauld line with a service for Falkirk Grahamston on 5 February. It will by-pass Barnhill station, the first stop for the Queen Street Low Level electric line forming in the foreground, then shortly curve round to cross over it and head north east on the line from the former Buchanan Street. It was 27 years between Buchanan Street's closure and the opening of a new curve to allow through running from Queen Street on this tight Z-bend route.
