Balbirnie Viaduct
Thomas Bouch's Cabbagehall viaduct at the Leslie end of the branch is more conspicuous, but the line also had a viaduct at Balbirnie near Auchmuty Junction at the Markinch end. Like most of the Leslie and Auchmuty branches this is now a walkway. I'm standing at the west end of the viaduct, looking towards Markinch on 29 January. One of Scotland's 3 River Levens passes below.
